My son is 5 but I love it when you get him clothes that are a little bigger (size 6) so he can wear them longer. He asked for a pea coat and spring is coming soon so I wanted to buy him something to wear when it gets cold again. I ordered size 8 and it looks a little big in his hands but I don't care that's how I wanted it. It was all my decision and I'm glad I did it. He liked it a lot and still wears it because it's still very cold here. The fact is that one day he got sick and vomited all over the front. I took it to the dry cleaner (it's polyester) and when I got it back it was just as perfect as it was then. I believe that for some reason you should order one size up as it may be too small for your child's normal size. Another great purchase and price!
