Review on VAPKER 1000pcs Stainless Steel Micro Eyeglass Sunglass Repair Screws & Nuts Assortment for Spectacles Watch with Screwdriver by Pam Hansen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

All the eyeglass screws you will ever need for prescription glasses.

All the eyeglass screws I will need for the rest of my life and at a great price. I've attached a photo here showing the tiny dimensions compared to the US cent. Regarding the comments of other reviewers about the negative feature that the screws are only two diameters. Well, it's only two diameters. In addition, 95% of prescription glasses have these two diameters. This is the length that varies depending on the frame's material and design - thicker or thinner. Hence longer or shorter lengths. This set has both extremes: the shortest and the longest with several sizes in between. I don't wear designer sunglasses so I can't comment on screw sizes for them, but my prescription sunglasses (Costco) are the same diameter as clear prescription glasses. A screwdriver I assume is necessary or people will complain, but I don't know of anyone who doesn't already have a better standard set of screwdrivers and nuts (or more) for computers, electronics and small things. So for some people without them, this little versatile baby would be a great addition. Small pieces of plastic, not properly described in the product description, appear to be for glasses, such as the pair shown in the third photo, where the screw does not screw in of the 'correct length' because of the narrowness of the frame around the lens prevented me from squeezing parts of the frame together so that a screw of the correct length would engage the threads. So I had to use a longer one and tighten it until it fits. This caused the screw to stick out of the top of the screw hole. I'm assuming the little plastic cones should cover it as shown in the picture. I didn't even find the screw conspicuous and took it off after taking the picture. The plastic washers, which I can only guess at, are there to take up space where the frame can't be mounted at all. Just a guess. The issue of the top of the case detaching at all instead of folding out is a negative issue. But it was actually difficult to peel off only the first time after cutting the plastic wrap. After separating with an office knife, BE CAREFUL not to spill the contents (with tragic consequences), it can be easily disassembled and reassembled in the future. I put some pieces of tape on the lid and put them on a rarely available shelf in my shop to avoid accidents as they are not needed often. I would buy this product again. but I will never need it. That is a good thing.
