This is a durable fabric garden weed preventer that allows rain and manual watering to penetrate to the plat roots. I have mine fastened down with garden staples, but rocks or boards also work well. My wife placed some in her flower bed this spring and covered it with a layer of pebbles to hold it in place, and enhance the appearance as well !
