I would say there are no words to express how difficult it was for me to put this shelf together; However, there are actually words to describe it and I'm pretty sure this review would not have been published had I included it. The shelf pieces are very solid and look great - better than most I've seen as they are machined all over and arrive with no chips or abrasions. Unfortunately, the design of the device I received was very poor. I've assembled lots of shelving and other pieces of furniture in the past, and I always lay out and check all my pieces before I start, so I'm not the type to be inexperienced with things like this. The problem was that the hole positions on all the boards were slightly offset, making it extremely difficult to insert the screws. Two days after putting it together I still have some very painful blisters on my right arm from the exertion. it took. I still give it three stars because it's a nice, sturdy shelf now that it's finally assembled. I wouldn't buy another one due to the complexity of the build.
