This cord worked to connect my old laser printer to a fully up to date Linux machine. I plugged it into the printer and then into the comptuer and it just worked. It was great!I was not able to get it running on my android though - I got a pop up with the name of my printer asking if I wanted to allow the default print service access to it but then it just kept searching for printers. If you really need to print from a mobile device, this cable might work but you're probably better off finding some other solution.But I got this to work with my computers - some of which only have type C ports and for that it's fantastic! The braided cable is nice and the cord is long enough that you can plug in a laptop without being stuck awkwardly close to the printer.
