Battery was installed and used in an HP Pavilion 17 laptop in December 2021. At first all seemed to work well. Decent battery life for a good price, but performance has deteriorated quickly to the point where less than 7 months later, unplugging the laptop from the AC adapter results in immediate shutdown of laptop, meaning that the battery was no longer capable of keeping the machine running. Fortunately, I still had the OEM battery on hand and was able to continue using that, albeit with short battery life.A piece of paper enclosed in the packaging listed a 1 year warranty and an email address to contact. When trying to obtain a warranty replacement, I attempted to use this contact information, and the email was bounced back to me as a bad address. I apparently am on my own.Maybe it's a bad unit- that's always a possibility. But be aware that getting the vendor to stand behind their product may be a challenge.
