Used for family gatherings

So let me preface this review by saying that most of the reviews here are based on delivery services like Grub Hub or Uber Eat. I found one reviewer who stated that they were catering and had good results at keeping the food warm. I have experience in catering and outdoor events, so I understand the reviewers' comments. Although I forgot most food service establishments use metal pans instead of aluminum foil pans. Later you will understand why I mention this. Personally, I don't cook for other people in that capacity, but I brought four of these in first because a friend had an indoor event that didn't have ovens or warming cabinets to keep the food warm. So don't mind using them later for family gatherings where you can cook up a few meals to go. So you don't have to line them up in the trunk or on the back seat floor hoping they won't leak. However, I ended up sending three of them back. Two of them because we didn't use them for the event and one of them because it was damaged. I've kept the last one since using it and would need to research ideas to make it work better. The bag is large enough to hold two longer aluminum foil pans or four half-size pans. I measured them when they arrived to see if they would work for what I originally wanted them for. We used the standard size depth instead of the deep slide. Heat retention was pretty good, but food didn't stay in the bag that long (1 hour 15 minutes from oven-car seat-t-shirt). The first and only time I used bags was when my sister took two bags to pick up food from a friend who was cooking in long tinfoil pots. The dishes consisted of two long pans of chicken curry and one long pan of rice and peas. When they opened and started putting the pans in a bag, it was torn on one side near the handle. At this point, the bag was not moving anywhere. So it can't be said that it was a weight issue as the other bag we used didn't have that issue and contained two pots of food. So this can be an isolated case with this bag. Unfortunately a pouch we used food liquid in leaked into the pouch. This wasn't factory work as we all know that aluminum pans should be stored on the bottom lest they stack on their own and double the pan. So an operator error on our part and there were two pans in the bag. On a positive note the liquid didn't spill out of the bag which was a big plus as there was curry in the pans and my sister was well dressed. The bag should have a strong piece of cardboard on the bottom to stabilize the bag if using aluminum trays and/or double the tray if you have an extra one. Sorry, this might seem like sex to some, but as a 40-year-old woman, I've dealt with the occasions of Bier picking up a gym bag with food in it myself. t used to this style. laboratory work. So this bag may not suit you. It would also be nice if the manufacturers gave tips and information on other possible uses of this bag, not just for the delivery service. I only gave it three stars because I'm not sure yet if it keeps you warm and haven't had to use it again yet, but this bag will definitely keep you and your car clean if food does spill into the bag.
