To be fair this is my first laser engraver and I expected to have a lot of learning to use it effectively. That being said, this system was once fully assembled and hooked up to a suitable control program such as LightBurn for Windows and Mac or LaserGBRL for Windows only. At first, assembling the engraver was a bit difficult. The instruction manual is not as clear and concise as I would have liked, but fortunately there are a number of videos on YouTube showing step by step how to properly assemble this unit, so that in the end I could fully assemble and power the engraver. The device is very well made, and the laser has practically the highest power among lasers in this class. The process is fully controlled by the engraving software after manually setting the initial position of the laser head. Relatively quiet during operation but definitely needs ventilation, either with a fan or an open work or garage door to remove smoke and fumes. The package includes all components, wiring, cables, tools, SD and USB and a range of protections for the laser. Safety goggles. This is a great machine for handymen and others. Once ready to use, it is not cluttered, very efficient and functional. The only two things that could definitely be improved are the building instructions with more details and better illustrations, as well as the best cable and wire management solutions. I am very happy and excited to do all kinds of laser engraving with this inexpensive but very functional engraver. This is a strong FOUR STAR for me and I can easily recommend it to both beginners (like me) and experienced users. under!
