Review on Charcoal MindShift Gear BackLight 18L Backpack - Ideal For Outdoor Adventure And Camera Daypack by Ruben Jamrock

Finally Found One! best in my review

Holy cow what a journey this has been. Recently switched over from my old Canon EOS SLR to a Canon EOS R10 mirrorless. Fortunately, with an adapter, my old Canon lenses still work fine with the new mirrorless body. That was the easy part. Finding a camera backpack has been well, close to exhausting. I tried somewhere in the range of 8 different camera backpack, not to mention all the time I spent online searching, researching, reading reviews etc. Finally ran across this jewel. Many of the issues I encountered in my searches and trials were 1) being able to comfortably fit my equipment in the bag and 2) have it feel comfortable with the right weight distribution while wearing it.The Mindshift Backlight 18L filled both needs perfectly. As you can see from the attached picture, I was able to back my Canon R10 with include 18-45 lens, three other lenses including my Canon 70-200 F2.8 L IS USM, Canon 75-300, and a Canon 35-105. Numerous filters, included rain pouch, battery charger and some other miscellaneous items. AND there is still the empty compartments for a 10inch tablet and 13inch laptop! There is just not enough good things to say about this bag. Lots of other included advantages such as two water bottle compartments, space to support and strap on a compact tripod, multiple adjustments for the shoulder straps and waist belt and on and on.One additional item I really like is that the access to your equipment is on the backside of the backpack which means that if you are walking around a busy city your equipment will be very difficult for someone to steal without completely ripping the back off your back.I got the forest green, which is a great look and no, I did not pay the absurd price shown here at $300 plus . Easy to find at between $190-$219.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor adventures
Cons
  • The backpack may be too bulky for some applications
