I have a dog that sheds. I bought a new rug. I was hoping that with this rubber broom I would be able to "rake" the rubber tips across the rug and collect the dog hair, instead of always pulling out the vacuum cleaner. This didn't really work well for me. But, on the rest of my floors which are concrete, this worked well. It's easy to clean but running it under a faucet also. The handle is a good length and it's got a coating so it's very comfortable. This was easy to put together and to store away when not in use. This might work better on a different type of carpet, I'm not sure. But for me, it was just mediocre.
