You are paying for choice of materials and attention to detail. I tried very hard to find a soft crate that a rough pup could fit in and this was the closest I could find.1. The aluminum frame can be easily opened up and down. It's a good choice for small cars.2. The crate pad "snaps" to the frame which is great as my dog loves digging in the crate pads and moving them around. The foam is nice and comfortable.3. The drawer pad (like the rest of the drawer) quickly disassembles completely for easy cleaning.4. Zippers are of high quality.5. It comes with a very nice carrying strap that can be clipped on or left in the zipped compartment. I keep them on a hook and use the zipped compartment for storage.6. The bottom is made of rubberized fabric to give grip.7. Despite all these fine materials, it's still light (even in large sizes).
