Terrible experience so far

I had high hopes for this controller but in the end it was a terrible decision to buy it. I bought this controller in June 2020. By December 2020, the left stick stopped working properly and the right trigger was broken and completely unusable. I opened a warranty case with Razer on December 5th, 2020. They first sent a list of questions asking when the problem started, if it had worked before, description of the problem, etc. After replying to that email, they wanted a video showing that the Controller not working properly. So I had to record myself with a controller and at the same time show how the functions don't work on screen and don't work on the controller. I then had to upload this video and after they checked it and found it defective and under warranty, they sent the case to another department who sent you replacement instructions. This department will contact you with a return authorization number and prepaid FedEx shipping charges. Then I had to find a box, pack the controller, write a return number on the box (otherwise it will not be accepted) and tell me to print out the email thread with all correspondence and put it in the box the same way . After all of this was done I had to go to a FedEx location to ship it and wait for them to receive it, process the replacement and then ship it back. It all started on 12/05/2020 and I received a replacement on 12/31/2020, almost a month later. In the meantime I had to buy a regular Xbox controller so more money was wasted. I received a Razer replacement on 12/31/2020, plugged it in for the first time today 1/2/2021 and the "X" button doesn't work when it's replaced. As if the process wasn't long enough, the replacement they sent me broke out of the box. A simpler process would be that as soon as they determine the controller is defective they send you a new one and send a return label along with the new one so you can use the same box and just put a new label on. This way you don't have to wait for them to receive your defective controller before sending you a new one. I'll update this review with the answer to this replacement controller with the broken "X" button, but at this point I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Pros
  • Video games
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine
