Review on 💾 Sonnet Technologies SDHC Memory Card Adapter for SxS-E34 by Melanie Gehrke

I've been buying these for a network TV broadcaster in one of the top 30 markets and have been using them since we switched to a file-based field service workflow almost two years ago . These adapters have saved us thousands and thousands of dollars over SxS multimedia cards. We use them with high-quality SanDisk SDHC cards and they work very reliably with our Sony PMW-350 cameras and EX-30 decks. We tested several standard SDHC to ExpressCard adapters and none of them worked with cameras or decks. You will need an adapter specifically designed to replace the SxS. You are not perfect. We've had about 10 failures out of about 80 adapters purchased so far. These are not DOA situations, they all worked initially but just stopped after about a year. We didn't lose a single frame because once the camera or deck recognized them, you're done. They just don't get recognized when they fail. So buy more than one if you go this route.
