I bought a 2 year old Yamaha XSR 900 with 900 miles, the last owner changed the oil filter to an aftermarket filter and my socket wrench didn't fit. He tightened the filter so tight I couldn't remove it with a belt wrench or oil filter pliers so I bought this wrench. To ever buy another filter wrench he has to fit every oil filter on every car (maybe not very big diesel filters but who knows). Another plus was that the wrench wasn't aggressive enough to pierce the filter's metal canister, which kept messing to a minimum. Good product - recommended.
