Although this stand is plastic, it's strong enough to support most laptops, although it's probably best suited for lighter models and tablets. I ordered it to support the touchscreen graphics/graphics tablet I use with my desktop PC. My graphics tablet is almost 17 inches wide and had no trouble staying stable while I worked. Rubber grips on both sides of the stand to ensure it grips both your desk surface and whatever you place on it. My tablet doesn't vibrate or shake as much as I do. It has a wide range of angles that you can adjust, making it easy to find a comfortable angle. The stand folds up nicely and compactly, and it comes with a small cloth bag to take with you. The price is more than reasonable and it seems to be quite durable. one.
