I bought these because I was having fun on Norwex but couldn't accept the price of a Norwex towel. So I was looking for something similar, mainly in terms of lint (all microfiber towels are a lot thinner than your standard bath towel, so for me it had to fit in the soft/fluffy department). They last and I'm glad I bought them. I have read many reviews of many towels and am proud to have bought them. So yes, they are soft. No, they are not "flat" for a microfiber towel, nor are they velvety or smooth; although they have some shine. I don't mind that they are thin. To be honest I've used them and haven't washed them yet (uh-huh! lol) so I'm curious to see if they change texture (or lose fibers or whatever I've read) after a few washes. , contributes to the collection of plastic waste on our planet). My thought when buying is that I will wash them less often. I like that these towels dry quickly so they don't smell sour as often. I should have waited a few months before writing this review to see how they hold up but if they deteriorate I will provide an update.
