I'll repeat what others have said, don't run the power cord to the engine bay, just unplug the accessory socket on the back passenger side. I wish CURT would update their wiring harness to include the correct connector/splice as you would have to cut/splice/solder yourself. Be sure to keep the 10A fuse as these full sized fuses are much easier to find/replace than the under dash mini fuses. Also, I just left the plug/cable in the spare tire and pulled it under/out of the sunroof. The protective insulation is broken so far that the flat wire is not pinched. It doesn't have to be done from below.
