One star deducted for the build quality. For $35, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. Thin plastic, flexes slightly under weight. Will likely break under stress. It works as described. USB Micro offers additional performance and supports powerful devices as well as lightweight USB drives. Another consideration that isn't the adapter's fault is if you have a case for your Surface Pro that is left and right oriented. sides of the device, it does not work. Any disconnection from the USB port will result in no connection: it is a USB 3.0 port. If you look into plug A of the device, you will see that there are not four copper pins, but more inside at the back of the plug. An incomplete connection will short out the front and rear pins, causing the hub to not function. A possible workaround might be a short 3-inch USB 3.0 AA extension, but that defeats the purpose of the built-in hub design. Things to consider before buying.
