It does what it promises

Pros: I use it with my MS Surface 3 Pro. It does the job. You can connect a network cable. You can use a USB hub. Cons: 1. Surface 3 has a weak USB port. This node does not have its own power supply. This means the hub is actually sharing the low-power USB.2. It doesn't fit in my pen holder. Unfortunately Microsoft cannot manufacture the pen storage and pen holder or this USB hub is a third party product from 2 different manufacturers.

Pros
  • practical
Cons
  • unreliable

One star deducted for the build quality. For $35, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. Thin plastic, flexes slightly under weight. Will likely break under stress. It works as described. USB Micro offers additional performance and supports powerful devices as well as lightweight USB drives. Another consideration that isn't the adapter's fault is if you have a case for your Surface Pro that is left and right oriented. sides of the device, it does not work. Any disconnection from the USB…

NO Gigabit but handy

Just a note, this is a Realtek 8152 (version 20) which is a 10/100M network adapter, NOT a 1000M (gigabit) adapter. The description of this product is wrong in this regard. The rest works very well. It fits the shape of the Surface Pro very well. You'll have to position the charging cable downward for it to fit, but that's perfectly fine. The extra USB ports are handy, and if you have poor WiFi, 100Mbps ethernet access might be better than WiFi. Don't expect to use this with gigabit internet…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

  • Almost everything included

Eh Helpful but not perfect.

Works but not as well as I expected. It seems finicky. I bought it because the Wi-Fi signal is almost non-existent on my desktop and I wanted to use my Surface Pro for multitasking. If I nudge the ethernet cable even a little bit while it's connected, it either says I'm not connected to a network or I'm connected but there's no internet on that network. It works again after I turn it off and on again. I also get an error saying the device is not recognized when I plug it in. Both USB ports…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Product is well made BUT most Surface 3 or 4 owners have a lid. Therefore, the USB connector does not intrude for a strong connection. Ethernet wasn't active until I manually plugged it in and held it! Without the cap it works and pleases, although the connection is a bit loose. I had to modify the lid (cut off pieces) to make the device work. Sorry, someone should have guessed that the Surface cover might cause problems. Most Surface 3 or 4 owners, I have a Pro 4 with a keyboard and case, have

Every Surface Pro owner needs it

The new Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) only has a USB 3 data port and no Ethernet port, which is quite restrictive. This device easily adds two USB 3 ports and one Ethernet port to the system, and is small enough not to interfere with the power cord or video port. plug and play I recommend this to everyone I know who has a Surface Pro.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Some little things

OK so I received the goods on time and intact, well packaged, there is a micro USB cable for power hungry devices like a hard drive, you have to connect it to a Please note that you have this don't need it if you connect a 2x USB 3.0 device to it as it can be powered by SP4. This thing is amazing, I've been waiting for this for a long time! Why did it take you so long to make 1? Thanks anyway! It really works! also forgot to say it has a microSD card slot! So yes, another extra storage if you…

Pros
  • Finally bought

  • That annoys me

Great concept but needs improvement!

When I bought this product I was amazed by the USB port solution. I bought 2 for me and my wife. I use my tablet a lot more than they do, so I knew I would find faults if there were any. I did a great job on the first day. The next day the problems started. I had an iPhone connected and a CAC reader. I connected the internet from the phone to the tablet. After about 30 minutes, the phone disconnected and reconnected. I thought it was the cable (which was brand new) so I replaced it with a new…
