Product is well made BUT most Surface 3 or 4 owners have a lid. Therefore, the USB connector does not intrude for a strong connection. Ethernet wasn't active until I manually plugged it in and held it! Without the cap it works and pleases, although the connection is a bit loose. I had to modify the lid (cut off pieces) to make the device work. Sorry, someone should have guessed that the Surface cover might cause problems. Most Surface 3 or 4 owners, I have a Pro 4 with a keyboard and case, have cases. This is my 2nd device, the sound disappeared the first time I connected it. You must be listening with headphones OR external speakers! Nice unit, albeit from ICZI, now shelved due to audio issues, no one tested it! I look at the description on Revain and there is no mention of sound problems anywhere! Production contacted. does not help, you need to use headphones or connect external speakers.
