I like that the cartridges come in a nice container. I haven't washed them yet so I'll check. They are soft enough not to irritate my skin and quite large and thick enough that I can use both sides. It takes about two seconds for the toner or whatever you put on it to sink in. Just hold it horizontally for a second or two to keep your product from dripping, and once it's absorbed you're ready to start wiping. Glad I have them! Update: I still use them and I'm glad I got them, but the mascara doesn't wash off them. I even tried soaking them in chlorinated water and they turned dirty grey. I don't mind, but there is a psychological aspect to not enjoying seeing your makeup come off on a pure white circle. However, I think a gray or black circle will take away that fun from you, while not splotchy!
