I remember installing a device from a number, configuring it, and then forgetting everything about it. It is necessary to install the utility and drivers from the original disk first, followed by downloading the most recent version from the TP-Link website. I have version 2.0. There were no issues encountered during the launch process of SoftAP on either Win7 64 or WinXp. The SoftAP settings are automatically restored when the machine is restarted, and this is accomplished by the autorunning of the application. I was able to make friends fast and easily using the phone at 65 Mbit (n), including IPTV and torrent TV; however, when I switched to using a laptop, everything became much more difficult (there is an outdated adapter for 54 (g)). The first connection is typical, but there is no way that it can function. After five minutes, it powers down and becomes completely unusable, requiring the user to physically remove it from the USB device and then re-insert it. I am going to switch out the adapter on the laptop. I did not test it in its ordinary capacity as a receiver because there was no reason to do so.
