Review on πŸ‘– Meraki Women's Standard Basic Denim Jacket: Must-have Wardrobe Essential by Tracey Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Classic details pair well with coats, jackets and vests

This very classic denim jacket is made from 100% cotton denim - the holy grail. which I reclaimed in the 1980's because (1) it never goes out of style and (2) there is no denim that doesn't have blasphemous [sticky and disgusting] spandex in it. Folks, if you have 100% cotton denim, hold on to it and find a way to make it last. Trust me, this jacket is not fashionable at all. This is the original, not an upgraded version of a denim jacket. No topstitching or added [or removed] pockets. It doesn't "fit" or is too small. It is not acid washed, aged, prewashed or recolored. If you know what a classic Levi's denim jacket looks like, you don't even need to look at a photo of it. It's almost identical. It's made from very dark unwashed denim, very thick and durable. I have it in size L (although my old jacket was M) because I've gained some weight since the 1980s, but it's still too big. I'm 5ft 4" and 148lbs so I'm guessing this is a good fit (maybe slightly larger). But I think a few washes will soften it and reduce it to perfection. Oh, and if you're trying to avoid Chinese-made clothes, this model is made in Turkey. Recommended for lovers of classic old school denims.
