I've been using Neutrogena's Hydroboost Gel Cream for years to soothe and hydrate my aging (I'm 41), dry, sensitive skin. I've always had issues with sensitivity and dryness that got worse with age, although I gave up many of the products I used in my 20's and 30's. Neutrogena is currently priced at almost $20, which is way overpriced for people like me who don't have a lot of cash. Just for fun, I came across a suggestion or review on a Simple product while researching a cheaper replacement and I'm so glad I ordered it! This is one of the few times a product has such high ratings that it feels real and accurate. This product is unbeatable for moisturizing and relieving irritation and redness, whether your skin is dry or sensitive, acne-prone or oily (works for almost everyone). It has no fragrance and the texture is very similar to the Neutrogena product. I don't think the Simple product hydrates as long as Neutrogena, but for the price it's REALLY close. Since there are multiple tubes in this package (6 total), I like to keep the tubes in the fridge, in the bathroom, and on the table. Morning and evening I spray chilled rose water with glycerin on clean skin, then apply a light layer of this gel cream to face and dΓ©colletΓ©, then sunscreen or night cream and then retinol once absorbed. After the product has been absorbed, the skin becomes smooth, tender, like a child, moisturized without shine and protected from environmental irritation. I don't use makeup anymore because of this, but I think it would go well with other products. It's great to use while adjusting to retinol-based products or anything that 'clears' your skin before it gets better, and will feel heavenly and soothing after a sunburn, for example. I will repurchase it many times in the future because the price couldn't be better and the results are great. The only thing I would complain about is the packaging. Why are tubes so small and therefore more harmful to the environment? I would like it in large tubes. The only reason I can suggest a smaller size is because the cream is water based so will likely have a shorter shelf life. Otherwise there are no complaints. I sing it and am so glad I found it and tried it. This is from the category "If I were on a desert island and could only endure this or that".
