This is a great remote control boat for kids. The steering and speed controls are not proportional, but on a small model boat it didn't matter. It charges from USB, which is very convenient, and takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to charge. It comes with two batteries and the batteries last quite a while. Our grand kids played with the boats for about 40 minutes and the second battery was still going strong. The boats don't interfere with each other, so you can run several at once. We ran three boats and had races. Our grand kids are 6, 6, and 8 and had no trouble driving the boats. Much easier to control than remote control cars. Great toy!
