They elude the 18 pound pull of attraction, but they CAN weigh 3 pounds, and that's a stretch. They certainly won't hold more than a few sheets of paper. They are neither strong nor powerful. They have a really good epoxy finish. So if you want the look and don't need strong or powerful magnets then they might be worth the money but if you want a magnet that will actually pull over 10 pounds then you'll be really disappointed.
