This is life changing. My husband is hard of hearing, closed captioning is of limited help and the room's sound system is always louder than others in the room need. We chose this device because there are many ways to adjust the volume, treble, bass and ambient noise. The user adjusts their OWN volume without changing the room sound. Easy connection. It's a plug! Wireless neck holster allows natural mobility! The user is not anchored in one place. He can go to another room and come back and still hear the TV/sound! If you're unfamiliar with the earbud style, you can switch to any headset you want to use. Be sure to buy a mini-plug headset when changing styles. I found the earplugs very comfortable, but some people can't handle earplugs. That's great!
