We drove 60 hours this summer and the potty is our victory. We use the Green Coleman Tank deodorant in fresh water and the smell is almost non-existent. We're throwing it away as soon as we can, although it was forgotten on a couple of rides with number 2, but it cleaned up great. I would take more as a full tank would be too heavy. I carried the trash can across the hotel lobby like a briefcase and didn't even get a scowl. A lot of time is saved because there is no longer any need to look for a gas station on long journeys and children are less prone to accidents. When camping we put it in our family tent and keep everyone happy without going out in the rain at night. UPDATE: so the toilet in the van is full time. Normal lifeguard. One thing that has occurred is a crack in the pump head cover and a leak. Apparently the lid was overtightened due to the displacement of the gasket. Overtightening caused a small tear and hence a leak. Used a soldering iron to "weld" it, then used RTV sealant to fix the gasket. Due to the abuse of this thing seen by 3 kids using it on the go I'm still rating it 5 stars.
