I have had a Garmin chest heart rate monitor for a number of years, the chest strap is connected to a Garmin Fenix watch. The bracelet is very accurate but to be honest I had to buy it new every year because after changing the battery the bracelet stopped working as before. I got tired of changing the strap so many times and trust me the first two replacements were provided by Garmin. One option was to wear a watch with a heart rate monitor on your wrist, but the accuracy wasn't very good. I am very happy that I found the Polar Verity Sense heart rate monitor. The battery lasts about 20 hours, charging the device is quick and easy. The monitor is as accurate as a chest strap, the only difference I noticed was that Polar Verity Sense takes a few seconds to display heart rate samples during an activity. The same delay is applied when the heart rate drops, so the numbers eventually even out. Another advantage of this monitor is that it is comfortable to wear on the arm. This monitor is much more comfortable than wearing a chest strap. Well done Polar!
