I'm feeling lucky. Might be great, might be awful (Updated 10/11/17)

Original review: I am using this in conjunction with a Findway 4 Ports USB Printer Sharing Hub MT-1A4B-CF to use a keyboard and mouse many devices and it works very well. I chose this particular center because I have purchased many Sabrent products in the past and have been very satisfied. Behind the Sabrent logo is a small blue LED that lights up to indicate the hub is active. The rotating connector is comfortable to the touch, but feels a little flimsy. It moves and wobbles, but unlike the other reviewers, I didn't have any device unplugging issues. I attached several flash drives for testing and connected them to the computer. I grabbed the entire hub and moved it in all directions, fully expecting that Windows would notify me to remove devices (just in case write caching was disabled on both drives). Not a single flash drive turned off, and the hub lit up all the time. Because it's permanently connected to the USB switch, it doesn't move much, if at all, which makes it perfect for me. I would like to give 4.5 stars as the build quality doesn't detract from the actual functionality. Devices. Unfortunately I cannot confirm how long the hub will last when subjected to constant movement/rotation and plugging/unplugging. Updated review from 4 stars to 3 stars on 10/11/17: Like the other reviewer, I'm having issues with this. The hub shuts down for no good reason. Unlike this reviewer, my focus has always been and always has been completely still. I never touch him and he never moves. For no good reason, my keyboard and mouse become unresponsive for a few seconds and all LEDs flash cyclically (indicating that the devices have lost and recovered power) and my computer beeps when a new USB device is detected. At first I thought it was my USB switch, so I replaced it with my old Tek Republic TUS-400 USB Sharing Switch, a manual 4-port switch to a USB device/hub between four computers that I've been using for years with no problems . Even with a notoriously good USB switch, it turns off all devices with a light touch. Swapped out this Sabrent hub for a known good USB hub and had no problems. I decided to disassemble the hub and see what happens. The structure of the concentrator consists of two parts. There is a board with USB-A connectors (where you plug your devices) and then there are 4 wires that connect to the USB-A connector. The wires allow the male head to rotate 180Β°. Unfortunately the ends of the wires are bare. This would result in the DATA+ and DATA- lines touching and the device being ejected. Removed the original 28 AWG wires, replaced with stranded 18 AWG aluminum wire and soldered properly. Now the hub works much better, but time will tell. One star deducted for that.
