I used a Honeywell HEPA filter prior to this product. The description of this product said that I have never had to replace a HEPA filter. It sounded amazing; HEPA filters are expensive and if this product had such an amazing filtering feature then it would be worth the cost. Unfortunately, it was marketing nonsense. As a reference to this current product. I could cook a steak at the right temperature, create plumes of smoke, and even with the filtration system running at full speed, the alarm would go off and the fire department would come. Man, I just wanted a properly cooked steak. The Honeywell product is under-delivered and does not filter what it claims to be. So I've seen them for sale a few times. I usually doubt that if a product is discounted often or constantly, it's a bad product. But. Exceptions are possible. This product has revolutionized cooking in my small apartment! I just cooked a steak at 600°F creating puffs of smoke for a few minutes, flipping it for another 3 minutes and tossing it in the oven at 550°F for another 2 minutes before resting. My kitchen and living room were filled with visible smoke. The air purifier, instead of reading the actual PPM, just said H. Well, that's no brainer, it was definitely high! But despite the large amount of smoke, the air purifier next to my smoke detector didn't even work. It has been a consistent experience with this product. I won't even consider another product as a replacement for now if this one dies today. Wonderful. I'm worried that thing is that good. A real fire alarm cannot be triggered if necessary. But you know I'm taking that risk with this thing, it's exactly as described.
