Switch owners may share my opinion that a USB port on the Switch dock is not enough. This USB hub is great for [A] charging your controllers (I've had to experiment with some hubs that didn't charge things) and [B] supporting a wired ethernet connection (I use an ethernet-to-USB adapter and it works). when connected to a hub). My only caution is that the cord is only a few inches long. This works well for the Switch as it can reveal the back panel, which can then be folded down without going too far beyond it.
