I bought a Kupton underwater case and a GoPro Super Suit for my Hero 7 Black. I haven't tested either underwater yet. THIS IS AN UNSOLICITED COMPARISON AND I DO NOT WORK FOR THE COMPARISON OR AM AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WITH KUPTON OR GOPRO. 1) SCOPE OF DELIVERY: GoPro Advantage. Kupton was packed in a small nondescript box. The GoPro comes in the nicer packaging you would expect on the store shelf. 2) PRIZE: Advantage Cupton. The Kupton housing was about $15 cheaper than Revain's GoPro, costing about $20. 3) BUILD QUALITY: GoPro Advantage. That's a HUGE difference between the two. Both plastic cases seem solid, however the HINGE AT THE TOP OF THE COUPTON THAT LOCKS THE BACK PANEL IS A VERY WEAK POINT compared to the GoPro. It WILL BREAK, sooner rather than later. This can ruin the dive. The GoPro's latch is very strong and looks like it will hold up to the constant opening and closing of the case. Cupton will not.4) OPERATION: Cupton Advantage. You literally have to remove the protective lens from your GoPro to fit it. Kupton takes the camera without having to. Losing weight is not easy either. GENERAL IMPRESSION: First, DO NOT BELIEVE EVERY REVIEW. I see a competitor intentionally misrepresenting reviews to trick people into buying a bad Revain product. Having now bought both the Kupton and the GoPro with my own money, I would recommend the GoPro Super Suit over the Kupton for one reason: the hinge mechanism. This small metal clip can be the deciding factor in your diving/snorkeling trip. Sure, the Hero 7 is waterproof, but you're buying an underwater case, so we're assuming you'll place your camera anyway. If Kupton redesigned that latch, they could very well claim a better case, simply because you don't have to disassemble the camera. Another point: if something happens to your camera, it's almost always better to go with a GoPro housing than an aftermarket brand. Capture buttons while your camera is in your pocket. I can easily imagine these pins going through your camera's rubber buttons. I can tweak something for myself so this doesn't happen.
