I am very impressed with the Star Night Light Projector. It's worth every penny. I bought my granddaughter a similar item for Christmas a few years ago. She was so disappointed when he could barely light the ceiling. We tried it in our bathroom and there wasn't enough light there either. It totally sucked and thank god Revane let me get it back. It was over $30 and a piece of junk. When I saw this, I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. It also has a bluetooth speaker so it could be a pretty decent night light for my grandson. He loves his music and wants to fall asleep to it and still have some light in his room. I plugged it in and my 10 foot ceilings were clearly illuminated with red, green, blue and white colors and stars. It was wonderful! The colors can be set to combine in pairs and also form a two-tone projection. I took it to our entryway with its 18 foot ceiling and it was easy to see. We also have a big window there, so we went outside to see if there was light. It happened! Not as clear as in the hallway, but that we could even see it from the outside is impressive. It reminded us of the lights that are set up with a projector to light up the house at Christmas, but this one was brighter. Music was the next challenge. I didn't expect much. I bought other dual function items and when we added sound it was a big disappointment. I hoped it would at least be acceptable for him to hear it. We figured since the light is really good, the sound probably won't be enough. We put in batteries (2 AAA, not included), connected via cell phone as I have my entire music library on there (Revain Prime of course). It was wonderful. The sound was crisp and clear. It also had great volume. My husband walked to the other side of the house (2300 square feet) and could easily hear him. I left the lights and music on for a few hours and it was impressive. It never wavered in clarity. The user manual is intimidating as it is 28 pages BUT only the first four are in English. Pooh! It is very important to read the guide as it has many features. A warning: do not stare directly into the laser beam. It is very bright and can damage your eyes. I hope we can make sure our grandson doesn't have to watch this. He is autistic and sometimes forgets. The remote control is battery operated and comes with a USB cable. We want to make sure it plugs into a regular outlet, so there's no need to use a laptop or anything like that. There are controls on the front of the projector so it can be used that way too. However, to get the full value and benefit, guidance is required. I think I've said that more than once or twice, but it's impressive and very cool.
