I installed the kit on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline using basic hand tools. There is a screw on the original filter box that sits between the box and the driver's fender. A long Phillips screwdriver is required, or first unscrew the other screws, then the box can be pushed forward a little so that a normal Phillips screwdriver can be placed on the last screw. Once removed, the new K&N Gen II was easy to install. No problems with the calculator. The engine is now breathing. Throttle response has definitely improved and is noticeable even at low revs. If you put your foot on it now, it literally screams for life. Huge difference, especially in the torque range. After a few gas stations I will check the fuel consumption and write a second review.
