It took me a few tries to figure it out. There are no instructions, so I went to the internet. Once you get the hang of it, there's nothing to it. I used it with cupro nickel tubing to attach all of the brake lines to our jeep wrangler. This work would cost us dearly in the workshop. I practiced a few times on small parts until I was convinced I could make a good flange. There were no leaks and the work was going great. If you are considering replacing your brake lines I would also suggest getting a pipe bender if you don't already have one.
