This item, a deluxe hard floor brush, also fits my Porter Cable Shop vacuums, which is great as one of my PC brushes has worn out and needs replacing. but it only comes in one big package. (The fitting is approximately 1 3/8" in diameter.) This item is very similar to the floorhead that comes with the PC vacuum accessory kit and can be a direct replacement with one minor exception. The PC head now comes with a nylon brush and rubber scraper inserts, while this unit only comes with two natural fiber brushes. Brushes and scrapers are interchangeable in devices. (Note that either the brush or wiper can be PC mounted, they just slide in and out. The front brush or wiper is about 1 inch longer than the one on the back.) Here's the porter Cord Set: Porter Cord 78110 Wet/Dry Accessory Kit This tool works great on hard floors such as hardwood floors, pine, tile, concrete etc. As this is a natural fiber brush it is not intended for wet cleaning as a PC tool. There is, but the brushes, if kept clean, seem easier on hardwood floors, although I have no proof of that. As with all brush heads, lint will collect on the brushes, especially when used to vacuum carpets. The brushes are easy to clean or remove with a vacuum cleaner to remove coarse dirt (e.g. sawdust) from carpets. To remove the brushes, turn the device upside down. There are two small clips on the front and two on the back of the unit, about 1 1/2 inches on each side. A small screwdriver or spatula can be inserted near the clips to facilitate removal. After releasing the clip at one end, pull the brush at that end, which will allow the brush to slide slightly to the side.
