For the price unbeatable!

I would have given this review 4 stars if it weren't for the price and great customer service. The beginning was a bit difficult. Now that I've got everything worked out, I'm very happy with the performance, apart from a few minor issues. Pros: - Video quality seems excellent. There are many codecs to choose from. (Default - MPEG4); - A full set of image correction tools is available in the "Capture” / "Video Settings” / "Correction” section; - So far I haven't had any problems with the sound synchronization. Correction - 1 problem. I encountered bad syncing in a project, but determined that it was due to an error in the original tape and not a malfunction of this unit. (audio was perfect before the crash, a few frames after); - The digitization process is quite simple; - I digitized dozens of tapes and the performance was very stable; - The manual is pretty detailed and pretty basic; - The software is available online if you don't have a handy CD player (see cons); - There doesn't seem to be any problem doing other things on my Macbook Pro 2015 laptop while digitizing; - I had some trouble getting started but the email support was immediate and the follow up was excellent. Thank you Lily! Cons: I have a Macbook Pro without a CD drive, so the CD that came with it was useless. I couldn't find any download instructions, but I googled and found that I can download the software from the digitnow website. (It downloads as a .rar file which I was able to unzip using The Unarchiver app, which I also downloaded for free); - Settings are not saved when I change them in my settings; - Default sound is internal microphone. , so first you need to go to "Record" / "Audio Settings" / "Source" / "Master AVCap". All in all a great deal for the price.
