Review on Hopkins 56202 Simple Vehicle Wiring by John May

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Poor instructions, good suspension

The installation instructions for my '06 Wrangler Rubicon were terrible! They tell you that you have to remove the taillights to get to the connectors, which is totally unnecessary. You need to pull out the plastic snap on each bottom corner of the case. Then pull back the plastic flap and the connectors are right there. The instructions also say to route the passenger side wires to the front of the jeep, but the wires to the front end on the driver's side when installed per the instructions. Anyone who installs this will see what I'm talking about. The instructions also say that the kit includes double-sided tape to secure the diode box behind the driver's side tail light. Ribbon was not included. Aside from wasting time removing the taillights and trying to figure out the confusing instructions and then figuring out how to actually get to the connectors, the wiring harness is fine. Installation time depends on how and where you wire and how clean you want the job to be.
