Easy install, works great

Same on my '99 Jeep Wrangler. After it was assembled and I changed it to 03 I wanted to set it up for towing. Bought this product and installed it myself. It takes time to route the wires along the frame, but take your time and get it right and you'll be very happy. Nice to tow my jeep again!

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Excellent goods. It was easy to install and run.

Great product. It was easy to install and route the wiring harness along the fuel lines on the driver's side of the car. I only wish it had an option with 6 round plugs to accommodate a hot wire from the plug to be able to use the RVI towed charger. It keeps the Jeep's battery charged while the ignition key is on to operate the RVI2's braking system.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some bugs

Let there be light!

This worked great setting up my 2006 Jeep Wrangler to tow flat behind our RV. True plug and play, the hardest part (and it wasn't hard at all) was running the wiring the full length of the jeep. I changed the flat four pin connector to a 6 pin connector to use the standard RV to Jeep umbilical cord. This must be the best way to set up the lighting to use the jeep as a toad.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • I don't remember

The wiring harness connection was easy to make but the tail lights didn't need to be removed. Probably the most difficult part of the installation was routing the wires so they don't stick out. I decided to run them through the cockpit and engine bay at the front of the car where I installed a plug for easy access. The strap works great. Some planning and study before starting a project is valuable for the facility.

Works if all you know is SECRET

If only there was a decent manual and ground wire. so close to being good Simple pass-through connectors as I was hoping. Easy to connect, you know this little secret: the instructions are useless. I had to call support as this system assumes the tractor is electrically connected to the towed vehicle via the hitch itself as a common ground. Surprisingly they took the call, spoke English and knew how to solve the problem. Refreshing. As soon as we connected the chassis of two cars (ground), the…

Poor instructions, good suspension

The installation instructions for my '06 Wrangler Rubicon were terrible! They tell you that you have to remove the taillights to get to the connectors, which is totally unnecessary. You need to pull out the plastic snap on each bottom corner of the case. Then pull back the plastic flap and the connectors are right there. The instructions also say to route the passenger side wires to the front of the jeep, but the wires to the front end on the driver's side when installed per the instructions…

Works well for hauling objects and winch

Fairly easy installation but as other reviews have mentioned the installation instructions are general and not vehicle specific. To install, loosen the panel screws at the bottom rear of the inner plastic fender panels. This gives you access to the factory wiring connector associated with each taillight. Disconnect the factory plug and connect it on both sides. Tie the diode box to something in the wheel well and finish by skipping the line forward. It should be noted that if you are using your

Foolproof Outdoor Accessory

Great for my 0.5ft TJ. The straps were about 4 feet too long so I trimmed them down. I chose to install the front and back of the wiring harness in the car because I'm off-road. Used the harness grommet in the driver's back corner and followed it to the firewall. I had to cut the wiring harness as the connectors are too big to do that without major disassembly. Very happy with the result and had no problems on my first 1200 mile flat tow behind my Ford Excursion. The front mount connector…
