Fairly easy installation but as other reviews have mentioned the installation instructions are general and not vehicle specific. To install, loosen the panel screws at the bottom rear of the inner plastic fender panels. This gives you access to the factory wiring connector associated with each taillight. Disconnect the factory plug and connect it on both sides. Tie the diode box to something in the wheel well and finish by skipping the line forward. It should be noted that if you are using your Jeep to tow something, the hitch trailer wiring is either spliced to the wires or uses the same connectors. Probably most will use these connectors. You can only connect a wiring harness to the taillights with the factory connectors. To retain the ability to connect to the trailer I disconnected it and then hardwired the 4 flat harnesses to the cables themselves for the ability to connect behind the camper for towing.
