I managed to get this to work on my stationary rod with the rig as shown in the photo. I had to use my own long magnet to reach the cadence sensor but it works! The instructions are really confusing - my advice to pair it with the sensor is to hold down the power button (on the left) and the settings button. (on the back) for a few seconds and perform a factory reset. Please note that the SUPER connection is unreliable. When I do a factory reset, everything works fine, which leads me to think it's not an issue with sensor placement, it's an issue with the sensor's wake logic.
