They are made of very thick frosted glass. They are heavy and solid. The lids are hard, thick plastic, but they don't screw on, instead they slide off (I keep trying to unscrew mine because I forgot). The bottle only holds 1 ounce but takes up a bit more space due to the design and thick glass. Pump jets are fine. They have tubes that reach the bottom of the bottles and they seem to screw tightly onto the glass necks. My only problem is that I don't like how they distribute content. I put the grapeseed oil blend in mine and it kind of spits out when I squeeze hard but drips to the side when I don't squeeze. So it's best if you tilt it to the side and wrap your arm around it as you deal.
