Does the job. I placed this tape in strips across the tiled floors in the kitchen and hallway to prevent slips and falls. Holds up well and doesn't slip. It looks a bit dirty in the kitchen because it picks up small scraps of food, but overall it's not very noticeable. You can comfortably walk barefoot on the band but not in nylon as the band will catch and snag on the nylon. Socks are no problem. I bought clear tape and it shows; it does not "disappear”, but it is not particularly noticeable. For me, the compromise (safer ground) is worth it. As far as I can tell, it peels off easily without leaving marks on the tile (I haven't tried it on other floor types). I bought this tape because I broke my ankle slipping on the tiled floor in the hallway; I don't have to worry about it anymore. I would buy this product again.
