The canvas itself is quite comfortable, a plastic insert is sewn to the bottom. The problem with the plastic liner, it breaks. I used it for a painting in a carpeted room and managed to rip the floor off in two places. Anywhere it tears it is no longer leak proof as the paint can seep through the thin canvas. Long term use so I bought canvas and not just plastic.
