I've built two Mercedes in the dipstick era. The oil level is checked by German technology :( After work, with the engine off, press the buttons on the steering wheel until the oil settles (15-20 minutes), otherwise the display tells me to wait. Finally, there It says the oil level is normal or I need to add a liter. Really? Something in between? A dipstick would be much simpler and more accurate. That's what it's there for. Mercedes still has a tube that the dipstick goes in, but with a cap on it This dipstick is labeled and comes with a range finder for acceptable oil levels for various models and engines.
