We bought this item to slice vegetables, mainly carrots and celery. We used to do it with a knife and it was hard on the wrist. This element will help us to complete this task with minimal effort. That works great. The item is very durable, but it takes longer to clean than a knife. A bit pricey for me, but worth it for us.
