My rating refers to the Marble Squad version. This is a complex set that works surprisingly well for something with 8 pieces of metal and a hundred pieces of plywood. The design is very thoughtful and a lot of work has gone into designing something that is difficult to build wrong: * each piece has an animal number * engraved on the piece so you can identify it even if you close it pull out early * all identical parts have one and the same part number, which makes sorting parts easier * many parts either don't fit when flipped or are symmetrical, so it doesn't matter * small labels engraved on subgroups, to easy to identify them when needed * tiny parts, tiny pins, everyone has spares My few little tips: * laser cut wood can be more difficult to push out with fingers, a planer knife can come in handy here * the tool provided can be used to cut the small plastic to slip fairings onto the steel shaft. Otherwise, this step will be quite tricky!* Use the included wax generously at each step where it's indicated in the instructions! and the stepper seems quite unsteady until the bottom pieces are in place. ---- This is a really great kit, I will definitely try another ROKR kit in the near future.
