I have an HP Mini that I like a lot but I don't want to use it because of the lack of speed. Granted it's an Atom processor, I knew adding an SSD would help, but it helped more than I believe. Most laptops don't have a dual SATA mount inside, so you'll need an external USB adapter, dock, or case so you can clone your existing hard drive before installation. Get an SSD that is the same size or larger, otherwise you'll have to jump through some hoops to get it to clone (shrink partitions). Cooler temps are noticed too, the lower section doesn't heat up as there's no 7200rpm disc spinning.
