3M tape doesn't stick to everything

No amount of 3M tape, other brands of double sided tape, or glue gun is going to keep this product sucking on my dash for more than a few days to a few weeks. I had to use liquid super glue. The gel super glue worked for a few months but ended up not working. The magnets are strong and this is a great product if you can make it stick. The tape that came with it stuck to my phone with no problems. I have a Chevrolet S10 2001.
